Nantucket, Massachusetts Workforce Housing Needs Assessment

Barrett Planning Group has worked on several projects on Nantucket, all related to addressing the island’s housing needs. While working with a previous employer, Judi Barrett let the Nantucket Workforce Housing Needs Assessment for a local nonprofit, Housing Nantucket. She went on to prepare a Housing Production Plan (HPP) for the Town of Nantucket. This effort positioned Nantucket to receive the Chapter 40B “safe harbor” certification available to communities that implement their HPP.
Most recently, Judi worked with the Nantucket Affordable Housing Trust on a strategic plan, the result of which was a significant increase in local funding for affordable housing initiatives.
